Careers Information
Pete Tupman is the career adviser from Positive Steps. For more information on the organisation please follow this link - https://positive-steps.org.uk/
His role is to support the students with all their post 16 planning. His priority is the year 11 group, and he supports these with career guidance. Pete works extremely closely with the school SEND team and attends all year 11 and year 10 EHCP reviews (when available). He also supports pupils with college applications and arranging pre-visits to college/training providers liaising with the school careers team. Pete advocates for the students when working with colleges and training providers.
During the 1-1 personal guidance intervention Pete and the student produce an enhanced progression plan. The enhanced progression plan is shared with the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team and local authority to ensure that their needs are met.
Along with his colleague, Sally, they also support off-site learners and arrange telephone calls/home visits when needed.

Tracking and follow up year 11 NEETs.
