About the Director

Mr. Mendez is a native El Pasoan who studied percussion privately with Larry White and graduated from Coronado High School under Mr. Richard Lambrecht in 1990. He received a BS in Music Recording from the University of Southern California and completed the UTEP Post-Baccalaureate for Music Education.

He has taught band with EPISD since 1999 at Magoffin MS, Hornedo MS and Franklin HS.
