Event centre in the upstairs McConnell room at the The Ladybird Inn . The Course will cover many of Bromsgrove’s residential areas (typically quite roads with interlinking paths) Sanders Park, and the pedestrianised town center. Bromsgrove's train station is a 3 minute walk away

There is plenty of free parking in the Ladybird’s car park which is shared with a travel lodge next door. There is a parking barrier which lets you in automatically, but you may need a token from the pub to exit. It is probable the barriers will be up the whole time. POSTCODE: B60 2DZ


General urban running. Pavements and paths, some of the paths are poorly lit, occasionally muddy or with steps. All Controls will be accessible via non-muddy / no-stepped routes. A head torch or light is recommended.


A modified Obrien Open Orienteering map. A3 Scale 1:12500 (Subject to change).


The event is a 60 minute score event, control sites which may be visited in any order, visiting a control will score between 10, 20 or 30 points each.

Penalties of 1 point per 6 seconds over the time limit. No control kites are used. Competitors are provided with a control sheet with control descriptions and proof of visit will be by recording information specific to the site. Typical sites are lamp posts, street signs. A pencil or pen will be required to record the control Information.


On the day. Reservations an no longer be made.

Competitors can run individually, or as a pair / team if they prefer.

Under 16s can run if they are accompanied by an adult.

Course Closes



Electronic Sport-Ident card will be used for Start and Finish times, writing down set information about a control will be proof of visiting a control. Please bring your SI-Card to registration. SI-Cards may be hired for £1.00. A Pen or Pencils will be required.


Competitors take part at their own risk. Whistles must be carried. Hi-visibility, reflective clothing and headtorches should be used.
