Privacy Policy for Broiler Record

Broiler Record ("we", "us", "the app") helps poultry farmers record their broiler batch costs, mortality, and expenses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
By creating an account and using Broiler Record, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Your name — entered when you create an account.
- Your phone number — used to create and sign in to your account.
- Your password — stored securely (encrypted) by our authentication provider. We never see your actual password.
- Your farm records — the information you choose to log, such as: number of birds, what you paid for them, feed purchases, mortality (bird deaths), medication, other expenses, and batch dates.
Information collected automatically:
- Country / currency — derived from the country you select at sign-up, so we can show the right currency symbol.
- Basic technical data needed to run the app (for example, to sync your records to your account).
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing history.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and secure your account.
- Save your farm records and sync them across your devices.
- Calculate and show your figures (cost per bird, total spend, mortality, etc.).
- Improve the app and fix problems.
We may use aggregated and anonymised data (information that does not identify you personally) to understand how farmers use the app and to improve our services. This kind of data cannot be traced back to you.
We do not sell your personal information (your name, phone number, or identifiable records) to third parties.
3. How Your Information Is Stored and Shared
Your data is stored securely with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosts our database and manages secure sign-in. Your account and farm records are stored here.
These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only to provide their services to us.
Your farm records are private to your account. Other users cannot see them.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
4. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information and farm records, except where we are required by law to keep certain records.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong (you can edit most of it in the app).
- Delete your account and data.
- Withdraw consent by stopping use of the app and requesting deletion.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
These rights are provided in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and other applicable data protection laws.
6. Children
Broiler Record is intended for adults running poultry businesses. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (including encryption of passwords and secure connections) to protect your data. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated in the app.

10. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data (farm records, batches, and account details) at any time, in either of these ways:
- In the app: Go to Account → Delete account, and confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all your records.
- By email: If you no longer have the app installed, request deletion by emailing alameenusman522@gmail.com (subject: "Delete my Broiler Record account") from the email or phone number linked to your account. We will delete your account and data within 7 days of your request.
