Too often, the current City Council has allowed outside business interests to overshadow the will of the people. From questionable development in dangerous areas, to decisions that nearly led Layton to abandon our shared landfill—potentially raising costs for every resident—our city deserves better.

What’s worse, the Council’s increasing reliance on lawyers to shield decisions from public view has created a culture of secrecy. Residents deserve transparency, not legal smokescreens. Public decisions should never be made in private.
