  • Short distance, less than 1500 km: after 2 hours of waiting – free food and drink and 2 emails, phone calls or faxes

British Airways Cancellation Policy

Passengers canceling a British Airways flight must ensure that the booking is confirmed by British Airways.

Once the reservation is confirmed by the airline, and if the passenger wishes to cancel the British Airways flight for any reason, the British Airways cancellation fee will be applied.

The airline allows passengers to claim a full refund if they cancel the reservation on the same date as the reservation with British Airways.

British Airways cancellation fee depends on many factors like destination of the trip, point of departure, type of distance, time of purchase, time of cancellation and many more.

Passengers will be set by a default cancellation fee, unless canceled by British Airways, unless used within 24 hours of expiry.

With respect to cancellation policy, British Airways implements and enforces laws or rules established by the United States Department of Transportation. If a passenger has booked or purchased a non-refundable ticket, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Airlines advise passengers that they should always choose or purchase refundable tickets over non-refundable tickets as non-refundable tickets do not guarantee cancellation of the fare amount of the ticket even though refundable tickets are more expensive and non-refundable.

In accordance with British Airways cancellation policy, the refund amount will be sent or credited during the same process as the flight booking. The flight has arrived and if you cancel your ticket you will be refunded and the full amount will be forfeited as a no show fee.

Passengers canceling their journey or British Airways ticket up to one week before the scheduled flight within the first 24 hours of their British Airways ticket booking will receive a full discount with no additional derivation required.
