Hello, myself Brijesh B. Mehta, from Wadhwan City, Gujarat, India. Currently, I am living in Auckland, New Zealand. I have completed my PhD in the area of Big Data Privacy from Computer Engineering Department, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India, under the supervision of Dr. Udai Pratap Rao. I am working as a Cloud Support Engineer - Big Data at Amazon Web Services, New Zealand. I love to solve problems related to big data and distributed systems.

I have more than 4 years of Industry, 3 years and 6 months of Research, and 4 years and 3 months of University Level Teaching experience. My research interest includes, Big Data Privacy, Database Security, and Distributed Computing / Systems. I taught subjects at UG (B. Tech.) and PG (M. Tech.) level. Major subjects I taught are, Distributed Computing, Distributed Systems, Distributed Operating Systems, Advanced Computing Technology, Distributed Database Systems, Unix Programming, and Network Programming. I have also published few research papers in renowned peer-reviewed journals and conferences, which can be found at my Google Scholar profile.

My Myers-Briggs personality type is INTJ, which indicates that I have a highly analytical mindset. Generally, people with this personality type are imaginative yet decisive, ambitious yet like their privacy, curious about everything but remain focused. I recognise these attributes in myself.

My hobbies include, Traveling (specially by self driving), Watching movies, Playing computer games, and Reading magazines and novels.
