HMS is much more than a school. It is a community in itself where staff goes above and beyond for each student their needs. They take an individualized approach for each student in order to optimize their success. Whatever a student needs, staff will work tirelessly to make it happen. If something does not work, the answer is never to give up,but to adapt. Adaptability, while sometimes challenging, is an integral part of the job.Working at HMS gives you a new appreciation for things others take for granted. It teaches us to celebrate every win. The things that seem insignificant, like a student attending and engaging in a 45 minute activity are the things you never forget. This seems small, but it was no small feat. It took six months of moving one inch closer a day to make this happen. It's not the physical action that makes you remember these things but the emotion behind it.
