Mirror

Her soul in mine

Her heart upon my chest

I wear her face

I use her voice

For her I survive,

For me she lived

But my struggle is not hers,

Her life is not mine

I cry her tears

But they are mine

I speak her thoughts

But they belong to me

She is who they see

But it’s my face on the glass

I wish they saw me.

I wish I saw her.
