I use the skills that I learned at MAMS everyday! Engineering school is hard, but MAMS prepared me so well. I learned great time management skills that I use everyday to stay on top of school, be involved in clubs, and spend time with friends. MAMS taught me that some of the best learning is from hands on projects- I learned so much through our STEM projects and it confirmed to me that I want to pursue mechanical engineering, a very hands-on field. It motivated me to join the Invention Studio, and I have been able to learn so many cool skills and make cool projects.

I feel that MAMS really allowed me to learn freely without the constraints of a traditional high school environment. I felt lost in large classrooms and was bored memorizing without learning how to learn. Mostly I realized that I could not pay attention with passive learning techniques and it definitely hurt my self confidence. I owe MAMS a lot!

The critical thinking skills I honed at MAMS have been a big part of my life and career as a scientist, and the projects I worked on (especially my science fair project) came up as far down the line as my graduate school interviews!

The friends I made at Mass Academy are still some of my best friends to this day, whom I talk to daily. The connections I made with the kind, intelligent, incredible people at that school were life-long.
