I am currently studying abroad in France! I've been able to travel to so many new countries and practice my French (thank you Mme Wildfong!).
Currently, I am a Prototyping Instructor and Director of Safety at the Invention Studio @ GT, the largest student-run maker space in the USA. I train members of the Georgia Tech community on advanced fabrication tools, including waterjets, laser cutters, and MIG/TIG welders. I also manage the space through routine safety audits and machine maintenance. I love teaching people new skills and continuously learning new skills myself!
Additionally, I am a teaching assistant for the sophomore mechanical design course. I help students design and build autonomous robots and assist professors with preparing course materials and running the final competition.
At my past internship, I designed a parametric CAD model and manufacturing-ready drawing for a reusable shipping crate used on every shipment of a radar component. I also designed CAD models and production drawings for engineering tools used on the manufacturing floor daily. I worked in cross-functional engineering teams to identify issues in a human-operated assembly tool and designed CAD updates to eliminate failure modes. I liked working on multiple projects and designing solutions that helped make operators' lives easier.
This summer, I will be supporting the development of sustainable energy solutions through the gas power engineering division at GE Vernova!
