BrickScout (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how BrickScout collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the BrickScout mobile application.
BrickScout may collect the following types of information:
BrickScout may request access to your device camera so you can take and upload photos within the app, including for features such as image-based set review, human verification requests, and related app functions.
We only access the camera when you choose to use a feature that requires it.
If you upload photos, screenshots, or other content, we may process and store that content to provide app features, including verification, review, search, support, and account-related functionality.
If you submit information such as your email address, name, or support request details, we may collect and store that information to respond to you, provide requested services, and manage your use of the app.
If you purchase premium access, credits, or other paid features, purchase transactions are processed through Google Play or other platform billing providers. We do not receive or store your full payment card details, but we may receive transaction-related information such as purchase status, product purchased, and subscription status.
We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and improve the app, such as device type, operating system, app version, crash information, and general usage activity.
We use collected information to:
provide and operate BrickScout features
process image uploads and verification requests
manage premium features, credits, and subscriptions
respond to support requests and user inquiries
improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
detect abuse, fraud, misuse, or policy violations
comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in the following situations:
Service providers: with vendors or platforms that help us operate the app, such as hosting, storage, analytics, authentication, customer support, email delivery, or billing services
Verification and support workflows: with authorized internal reviewers or service providers as needed to complete requested verification or support actions
Legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
Business protection: to protect the rights, safety, and security of BrickScout, our users, or others
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, complete requested services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Uploaded images, support submissions, and verification materials may be retained for operational, quality, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping purposes unless deletion is required by law or supported by our systems.
You may choose not to grant camera permission, but some features of BrickScout may not function properly without it.
You may also choose not to upload images or submit optional information, though this may limit certain app features.
BrickScout may rely on third-party platforms and providers, including app store billing and backend service providers, to operate app functionality. Those third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies.
We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
BrickScout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of BrickScout after changes means you accept the updated policy.
