All his life, Brian Overton has done his best to put God first. More than just his faith, Christianity is truly Brian’s lifeblood. His passion for the Lord is seen and experienced in all corners of his life, from his artistic pursuits to his professional life. For a number of years, Brian has been an active member of the St. Anne of Grace Episcopal Church, where he maintains the role of Co-Worship Leader.
As a Co-Worship Leader, Brian Overton assists in various worship services and activities at St. Anne of Grace, including the Church’s youth camps, like the DaySpring Conference Center in Ellenton. As often as he can, Brian enjoys bringing one of his other greatest passions into his worship responsibilities: Christian contemporary music. He often performs both at his church and at other local churches in the area with his band, His Word.
Brian Overton is a Christian contemporary musician who releases music independently through his own in-house outfit, the Green Room Studio. Along with his Christian rock band, His Word, Brian writes, records, arranges and masters music projects that glorify God. He also performs locally with His Word as the Lead Vocalist and Bassist, joined by fellow members J. R. Rehm on Rhythm Guitar, Sheree Barnes on Lead Guitar and Justin Christensen on Drums and Percussion. Brian is also open to the idea of collaborating with other independent Christian contemporary artists and musicians on their own projects via his Green Room Studio.
Brian Overton is a huge fan of Marvel comic books and movies. His fanaticism and fascination with the Marvel Universe when he was gifted an Iron Man comic book for his 6th birthday. What would develop from that gift would be a lifelong love of the stories, characters and incredibly larger-than-life happenings that make up Marvel. Brian's favorite Marvel superhero will always be Iron Man, but he also loves Thor, Captain America and the rest of the Avengers team.
