Personal Life
I was born in 1996 in Forest, Virginia, as the youngest of three children. I lived there for the majority of my life until moving to Kansas in July of 2019. I was very blessed to have been able to receive a homeschooling education from my mother for the majority of my schooling years until college; I mainly met people through church and sports. In my youth, I enjoyed tennis, football, chess, guitar, and video games. I always had a sense that I would like to be a college instructor; I was inspired by my now retired father David Ehrman who was a piano instructor at Liberty University. I didn't know what I would like to teach, because in high school there wasn't any one subject that strongly drew me in. Therefore, I attended community college and found that my favorite subject was math, so I decided to study it further with hopes of eventually being accepted into graduate school. Around that time, we adopted a dog named Archie (see image). I enjoyed being a math tutor and helping my classmates at each institution I attended, and now I'm at KU! Thanks to my two older siblings, I have three adorable nephews as well, so I visit them whenever I can.
