Breeze helps you answer one question about your money: "Am I living within my means?" We take your financial information, compute a plain-English verdict (your Steady Score), and show you where your money goes and what you are worth. Because Breeze is a financial tool, this policy is specific and accurate — no vague boilerplate. We do not sell your data and we show no ads.
● Bank transaction data — when you choose to connect a bank, we receive your transactions (dates, amounts, merchant names, categories) through Plaid.
● Account balances — the current and available balance of each account you connect (checking, savings, credit card, loan, brokerage), so we can show your net worth.
● Investment holdings — if you connect a brokerage or retirement account, we receive the investments held in it: the security name and ticker, the quantity you hold, its price, and the resulting value. We use these to show your asset mix and, for common funds, an estimate of what each fund charges you (its expense ratio) — sourced from public fund records, not from your brokerage.
● Assets and debts you enter yourself — values you type in by hand, such as your home, a vehicle, or a valuable, and debts you want counted. These are saved to your account on our server so they survive reinstalling the app.
● Files you upload — if you upload a bank or credit-card statement (CSV or Excel), we read the transactions in it.
● Profile information you enter — basic details such as age, household size, and income, used to tailor your verdict.
● Your ledger and computed results — your transactions, your Steady Score, your category and merchant breakdown, the recurring charges we detect, your budgets, and any category corrections you make.
● Subscription status — if you subscribe to Breeze Pro, we (through Apple and RevenueCat) know whether your subscription is active, on a free trial, or cancelled. See "Breeze Pro (subscription)" below for what this does and does not include.
We do not ask for or store your bank username or password. We do not collect your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
Breeze has read-only access. We cannot move money, make payments, transfer funds, or trade in your investment accounts — and we never request the permission to do so.
● You enter your bank login inside Plaid’s own secure screen, not in Breeze.
● Breeze never sees or stores your bank login credentials.
● Plaid verifies you with your bank and returns your data plus a secure access token.
● You choose which accounts to share at the moment you connect, and you can disconnect a bank at any time in Settings → Connected banks.
● You can also skip connecting a bank entirely and simply upload a CSV/statement instead — this stays free, with no subscription required.
Uploading a CSV or bank/credit-card statement is always free, with no subscription — your full verdict, Advisor, and Query all work the same way on uploaded data.
Automatic bank, investment, and credit-card syncing via Plaid — so your data stays current without re-uploading — is a Breeze Pro feature: $3.99/month, with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime.
● Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Breeze never receives or stores your card number, billing address, or any payment details.
● RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, tells Breeze whether your subscription is currently active, on a free trial, or cancelled. It receives an anonymous subscriber identifier and your purchase/entitlement status — never your bank data, transactions, Plaid access token, or financial figures.
● Managing or cancelling your subscription is done through your Apple ID, in iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions — the same place you manage any App Store subscription, not inside Breeze.
● If you cancel or your trial ends without converting, Breeze Pro features (automatic bank sync) stop; your existing data and account are not deleted, and you can still use Breeze fully by uploading statements.
● Two-Factor Authentication (MFA) — new accounts have MFA on by default. When enabled, signing in requires both your password and a one-time code emailed to you at that moment, on top of your password.
● You can turn MFA off or back on anytime in Settings → Security.
● The verification code is sent to the email address on your account and expires after a short time.
● This uses the same secure, one-time-code mechanism as password reset — no third-party authenticator app or QR code is required.
● Your data lives in Supabase (managed PostgreSQL) protected by per-user Row-Level Security — each account can only ever access its own data.
● Your Plaid access token is stored on our server, encrypted in a secrets vault — never on your phone or in the app.
● Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS.
We use a small number of trusted providers and share only what each needs:
● Plaid — connects your bank and retrieves transactions, balances and investment holdings (only for banks you choose to connect).
● Apple (App Store) — processes your Breeze Pro payment directly if you subscribe. Breeze never receives or stores your card details.
● RevenueCat — tells Breeze whether your Breeze Pro subscription is active. Receives an anonymous subscriber ID and entitlement status only — never your financial data.
● Anthropic (Claude) — our AI does two narrow jobs: it suggests a category for a merchant by reading merchant names, and it turns the question you type in Query into a search. It is never sent your amounts, balances, account numbers, holdings, name, or email — and the AI never computes your numbers. Every figure in Breeze is calculated in code.
● Supabase — stores your data and manages sign-in, with per-user security.
● Resend — sends account emails such as password-reset and verification codes.
● Render — hosts the Breeze server that computes your verdict.
● PostHog (US-hosted) — privacy-respecting product analytics: anonymous events only, never your financial data or personal identifiers.
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and Breeze shows no advertising. Breeze is paid for only by subscriptions: we do not take affiliate fees, referral commissions or sponsorship from any bank, lender, card issuer or other financial company, and none of them influences the information Breeze shows you.
Your Steady Score, your category totals, your net worth, and everything on the Advisor and Wealth tabs — including your debt-to-income figure, your fund fees, and your investments’ spending runway — are all computed deterministically in code from your own data. No AI model produces a number, a verdict, or a recommendation. This matters to us, so we state it plainly rather than burying it.
● We record only anonymous product events (for example, that a verdict was viewed), identified by a random, non-reversible ID.
● We never send financial information — no balances, transactions, holdings, merchant names, categories, or verdict figures.
● We never send personal identifiers such as your name or email.
● Automatic capture and session recording are off. You can opt out anytime in Settings.
● Use Breeze without connecting a bank — upload a CSV/statement instead, always free.
● Choose what to connect — you pick which accounts to share when you link a bank, and can disconnect any bank later.
● Correct your data — you review and adjust how transactions are categorized; corrections stick across your whole history.
● Turn Two-Factor Authentication on or off — Settings → Security, anytime.
● Manage or cancel Breeze Pro — anytime, through your Apple ID subscriptions (iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions).
● Delete your account and all your data — in the app, Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent: it revokes any connected bank at Plaid and erases your account, transactions, connected banks, budgets, verdict, manual assets, and profile. It cannot be undone. You can also email breeze.support100@gmail.com if you prefer we do it for you.
● Opt out of analytics — turn off anonymous usage analytics anytime in Settings.
Breeze is intended for adults managing their own finances. You must be 18 or older to use Breeze, and it is not directed to children.
We may update this policy as Breeze evolves; we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
