This policy explains how the mobile app Breathe – Quit Smoking ("Breathe", "the app") handles your information. The app is published by SYTechApps ("we", "us").
By using Breathe you agree to this policy. If you disagree with it, please stop using the app.
Breathe has no servers of its own. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal information about you. Specifically, the app does not collect:
Your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details
Account credentials — there is no registration and no sign-in
Location data
Contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone input
Advertising identifiers, device identifiers or fingerprints
Usage analytics, crash reports or diagnostic telemetry
Health records or any information shared with third-party health platforms
Because we never receive your information, we cannot access it, disclose it, or hand it over to anyone else.
To count your progress, Breathe saves the details you enter in the app's own private storage on your phone. That includes:
The date and time you stopped smoking
How many cigarettes you used to smoke per day, the price per pack, cigarettes per pack and your chosen currency
The reasons you selected for quitting
Your mood entries and any notes you write in the journal
How many cravings you have marked as resisted, and the badges you have earned
This information is written only to the app's private storage area, which other apps on your phone cannot read. It is never uploaded, backed up to us, or transmitted off your device. We have no copy of it and no way to retrieve it.
All counters, health milestones, statistics and badges are calculated on your device from the values you entered. The app does not send requests to any server, ours or anyone else's, and it works with no connection at all.
Breathe requests no Android runtime permissions. You will never be asked to grant access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, calendar or notifications in order to use the app.
The only feature that involves anything outside the app is the free quitline link on the Craving Moment screen. Tapping it opens your phone's dialer with the number already filled in — the call is never placed automatically, and no permission is needed. You choose whether to press call, and the call itself is handled by your phone carrier under their own terms.
Breathe contains no advertising of any kind, no sponsored content, and no advertising or analytics software development kits. Nothing in the app profiles you or serves you personalised content.
You stay in control of everything the app stores. To erase it, either clear the app's data in Settings → Apps → Breathe → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. In both cases the information is permanently removed from your device. Since we never held a copy, there is nothing further to request from us and nothing left for us to delete.
If you have Android's automatic backup switched on, your operating system may include the app's local data in the backup that goes to your own Google account. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by us — we have no access to it. You can turn this off in your device's backup settings at any time.
Breathe is intended for adults who want to stop smoking. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age — because the app collects no information at all.
Our Data safety declaration on Google Play states that Breathe collects no data and shares no data. This policy matches that declaration. If a future version ever changes that, we will update both the declaration and this page before releasing it.
If we change how the app handles information, we will post the revised policy here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Breathe is a motivation and tracking tool, not a medical treatment or professional health service, and the health milestones it shows are general information rather than personal medical advice. If you are struggling, please speak to a doctor or call a free quitline.
Questions about this policy are welcome.
