WELCOME

Welcome to my webpage!

Currently, I am working as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Tokyo Japan (October 2022-) under the supervision of Dr. Kaori Sugihara. Before that, I spent 1 and half year as a postdoctoral Fellow with her at the same institute (April 2021-September 2022).

I received my Ph.D. in condensed matter physics at Visva -Bharati University, India. My doctoral research has focused to investigate a solventless synthesis route to prepare iron-oxide nanoparticles on thermal decomposition of the organometallic compounds in the presence of guest molecules (solid/gaseous). In this time period I was able to expand my knowledge in Molecular thermochemistry, Thermal analysis and Calorimetry, crystallization kinetic study and magnetic nanoparticle synthesis.

As an experimental physicist my current research work focused on the development of nano force sensor based on Force-Fluorescence correlation of a mechanochromic polymer. We are using nano- friction force microscopy (a mode of Atomic Force Microscope (AFM)) and fluorescence microscopy for quantitative detection and visualization of friction forces (nano newton range) in mechanochromic polymer and their layered composites.
