Bio: Brandon Joel Tan is an Economist at the International Monetary Fund, where he provides policy advice to countries in the context of lending programs, technical assistance, and macroeconomic surveillance. He has worked on a range of advanced and emerging market countries, including the United States, Indonesia, and Bolivia, as well as on global issues as part of the IMF’s pandemic response taskforce and digital money division. He received his BA in Economics from Princeton University, and his PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
