Assistant Professor of Accounting
Baruch College, City University of New York
I am an assistant professor of accounting at Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY). I completed my Ph.D. in Accounting and M.S. in Finance at Northwestern University, and my B.B.A in Finance and Computer Science at Emory University. My research examines the role of information intermediaries (including security analysts, credit rating agencies, and the news media) and corporate disclosure in capital markets, as well as the impact of machine learning in accounting.Â
At Baruch, I developed and currently teach the masters-level course on Data Analytics in Accounting, for which I received the Zicklin Excellence & Innovation Award (2022) and was nominated for the Presidential Excellence Award in Distinguished Teaching (2022). I also teach an undergraduate course in accounting information systems.
