This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, store, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and associated backend services.
By creating an account, downloading, or using Braiq, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the collection and handling of your data as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide, personalize, and secure your gaming and brain-training experience:
A. Information You Provide to Us
Account Registration Details: When you register or sign in, we collect your authentication credentials via Google Sign-In (name, email address, profile picture) or Phone Number Sign-In (phone number, verification OTP).
User Profile Data: Username, custom bio, chosen avatar, and country/region preference.
Communications: Messages sent via in-app direct messaging, group chat posts, and any feedback or bug reports submitted to customer support.
B. Gameplay & Progress Information
Brain Training Scores & Stats: Game performance metrics across cognitive categories (Memory, Speed, Logic, Focus, Math), difficulty levels, accuracy rates, and response times.
Daily Training & Streaks: Daily Neuro Training completion dates, streak counters, streak milestones, and training calendar history.
Coins & In-App Economy: Virtual coins earned through training, challenges, and rewarded video ads, as well as coin expenditure on in-app features.
Social & Multiplayer Activities: Friend connections, 1v1 live duel outcomes, group memberships, group challenges, join requests, and leaderboard rankings.
C. Information Collected Automatically
Device Information: Device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, language settings, and screen resolution.
Diagnostic & Log Data: Crash reports, app launch timestamps, API latency, network connectivity status, and error logs (used solely to diagnose crashes and maintain service uptime).
3. How We Use Your Information
We utilize the collected information for the following legitimate purposes:
Account Management: To authenticate your identity, prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts, and maintain secure user sessions.
Cross-Device Sync: To save and sync your scores, coin balances, streaks, and progress securely to our cloud database across all your devices.
Multiplayer & Social Matching: To connect you with other players for real-time 1v1 duels, manage group memberships, and display your public ranking on global and group leaderboards.
Cognitive Analytics: To calculate personalized brain performance stats and recommend daily training exercises tailored to your skill level.
Advertising & Monetization: To display relevant banner, native, interstitial, and rewarded video ads via Google AdMob to keep the core application free for all users.
Platform Security: To detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, exploits, harassment, or violations of our Terms of Service.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We partner with trusted industry-leading service providers who process data strictly under our instructions and in compliance with security standards:
Google Play Services: Used for app distribution, automated integrity checks, and licensing.
Firebase Authentication (Google LLC): Used for secure OAuth sign-in with Google accounts and phone number SMS OTP verification.
Cloud Firestore & App Engine (Google Cloud Platform): Secure cloud databases and server infrastructure hosting user profiles, scores, and duel matchmaking.
Google AdMob (Google LLC): Ad delivery network displaying native, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect device advertising IDs (GAID) to provide non-personalized or personalized ads depending on your consent.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third-party data brokers or marketing agencies.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion Policy
We respect your right to control your personal data at all times:
Retention Period: We retain your account data and gameplay history as long as your account remains active.
In-App Account Deletion (Instant): You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the app by going to:
Profile > Settings > Delete Account.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account:
Your user profile, personal information, and authentication credentials are permanently deleted from Firestore and Firebase Authentication.
All groups created/owned by you are permanently purged, along with associated join requests and group sessions.
You are removed from all joined groups, friend lists, and active 1v1 duel lobbies.
Your direct messages, duel history, and scores are purged.
Your rank and presence are removed from all public leaderboards.
Deletion by Email: You can also request complete deletion of your account and data by sending an email to support@braiqapp.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request."
6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Braiq is designed for general audiences aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will immediately delete that information from our servers. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@braiqapp.com
7. Security of Your Data
We implement robust, industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your information:
All data transmissions between the app and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
Cloud databases are protected behind strict authentication and authorization security rules.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% impenetrable. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our features, legal obligations, or service architecture. When updates occur, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Braiq mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or download Braiq and should uninstall it immediately.
2. Eligibility & Account Security
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App.
Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile updated.
3. User Conduct & Acceptable Use
To keep the Braiq community safe, fair, and positive, you agree NOT to:
Use offensive, defamatory, abusive, sexually explicit, or hateful language in your username, profile bio, group names, or direct messages.
Harass, stalk, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate other players.
Cheat, exploit game bugs, use automated bots, memory editors, auto-clickers, or modify the app client to gain unfair score advantages on leaderboards or in duels.
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code of the App or its communication protocols.
Circumvent or tamper with in-app advertisements, virtual currency mechanisms, or security restrictions.
Violating these rules will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without prior notice.
4. Virtual Currency & In-App Economy (Coins)
Virtual Nature: "Coins" in Braiq are a virtual in-game currency earned through gameplay, daily training completion, and rewarded video ads.
No Real-World Monetary Value: Virtual coins hold no monetary value outside of the App. Coins cannot be redeemed, sold, transferred, or exchanged for real-world currency, goods, or financial compensation.
No Gambling: Braiq is not a gambling or betting platform. 1v1 duels and group challenges are purely skill-based cognitive exercises and do not constitute real-money wagering.
Modifications: We reserve the right to manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate virtual currency balances at our sole discretion.
5. Medical & Cognitive Performance Disclaimer
Entertainment & Cognitive Practice Only: Braiq and its exercises are designed solely for entertainment, cognitive recreation, and mental stimulation.
Not Medical Advice: The App, its scores, and its training programs do NOT constitute medical, psychological, neurological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
No Health Guarantees: We make no scientific or medical claims that playing Braiq will prevent, treat, cure, or diagnose any cognitive disability, disease, or medical condition (such as Alzheimer's, dementia, ADHD, or memory disorders). Always seek the advice of a qualified physician or healthcare provider regarding any medical condition.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All software, code, UI designs, graphics, game mechanics, algorithms, sound effects, animations, brand names, and logos associated with Braiq are the exclusive intellectual property of the Braiq development team and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.
7. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if you breach any provision of these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the platform, other users, or third parties.
You may terminate your agreement with us at any time by deleting your account inside the App and uninstalling the software.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Braiq team, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, device malfunction, loss of virtual coins, or interruption of service) arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the App.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and your use of Braiq shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India (and applicable regional jurisdictions), without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Uttar Pradesh, India.
