1. INTRODUCTION
BrainySnap AI is a browser extension that helps users understand, summarize, translate, and interact with webpage content using AI. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
2. DATA WE COLLECT
When you use BrainySnap AI and click an action button (such as Summarize, Explain, or Translate), the text content of the webpage you are currently viewing is temporarily sent to our AI processing service (NVIDIA API) to generate a response.
We also store the following data locally on your device:
- Daily prompt usage count (a simple number)
- Usage reset timer (a timestamp)
This data never leaves your device and is used solely to manage your daily free usage limit.
3. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do NOT collect:
- Your name, email, or any personal information
- Your browsing history
- Your location
- Passwords or authentication data
- Financial information
- Cookies or tracking data
4. HOW YOUR DATA IS USED
- Webpage text content is sent to the AI API only when you explicitly click a button
- The AI API processes the text and returns a response
- The response is displayed in the extension's side panel
- No data is stored on our servers
- No data is sold or shared with third parties
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use NVIDIA's AI API (integrate.api.nvidia.com) to process AI requests. When you use the extension, webpage text is sent to this service. Please refer to NVIDIA's privacy policy for information about how they handle data.
6. DATA RETENTION
We do not retain any user data on external servers. All locally stored data (usage count) is automatically reset every 24 hours.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You can clear all locally stored data by removing the extension from your browser. No account is required to use the extension, so there is no personal data to delete.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
BrainySnap AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
