Our Vision to Execute the Program

  • Reach out to senior-level leaders to gain 10 to 20 mentors for the leadership counselors.

  • Start an application for leadership counselors, until 20 suitable junior-level leaders are identified.

  • Match each leadership counselor with a partner, and then a mentor.

      • Leadership counselors will have partners to hold each other accountable and to share the load. There should be ten groups, each with 2 counselors.

      • Depending on how many senior-level leaders are involved, they will each have 1 to 2 mentees. They will be guiding their mentees throughout the program.

  • Instruct each matched pair of leadership counselors to research a topic assigned to them from those we have identified, and prepare a talk and activity for the topic. They will also prepare questions for small group discussions.

  • Facilitate training exercises where the leadership counselors will practice these talks and activities by sharing them with the other counselors. Utilize the mentors to provide feedback.

  • Open an application to be a general participant to be opened, and the first 100 soldiers will be accepted. If one of the accepted participants can not participate, their spot will be offered to the next in line.

  • Aquire permissions for incentives, specifically one incentive to be given 5 weeks into the program based on attendance, and another greater incentive to be given at the end of the program.

  • Match general participants with leadership counselors. There should be 10 in each group.

  • Start the program, with meetings taking place once a week. A meeting should look like a talk and activity occurring, and then a breakout period where each group discusses what they learned and any questions they have, as well as any prepared questions. Mentors are not required to attend but may if interested.

  • Send out surveys halfway through the program, at 5 weeks, for feedback on how to improve the program and to make ensure there is no conflict occurring between participants.

  • End the program after the full 10 weeks, and send out a final assessment survey to ensure that participants are satisfied with their experience.

  • Start the process over again, using feedback from past participants to improve and expand the program's benefits and reach. The program should repeat continuously for years to come.
