1.0 INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
1.1 Welcome to Boyfriend Clock. This Privacy Policy describes how New Version Limited ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Boyfriend Clock mobile application (the "App").
1.2 Boyfriend Clock is an AI-powered alarm clock application that wakes users with personalized voice messages from virtual AI boyfriend companions. We understand the personal nature of this service and have designed our privacy practices with your data protection as our highest priority.
1.3 This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App, regardless of geographic location. If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, or other jurisdictions with specific privacy laws, additional rights and protections apply to you as described in Sections 9.0 and 10.0.
1.4 By using Boyfriend Clock, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.
1.5 This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use, which govern your use of the App.
2.0 INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE DIRECTLY
2.1.1 Display Name (Optional)
You may provide a display name for personalization of AI-generated messages. This name is used so your AI boyfriend can address you personally in wake-up messages. You are not required to use your real name.
2.1.2 Custom AI Companion Personas
If you create custom AI boyfriend personas, we store the names, personality descriptions, avatar selections, and voice preferences you provide. This data is stored locally on your device.
2.1.3 Alarm Preferences
Your alarm settings including scheduled times, repeat patterns, selected boyfriends, message tones, topics, and customization options. This data is stored locally and may be synced to our servers for alarms requiring background processing.
2.2 INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
2.2.1 Device Identifier
A unique identifier generated by your device (Apple's Identifier for Vendor) used to manage your alarms and deliver notifications. This identifier is reset if you uninstall and reinstall the App. We do not use persistent advertising identifiers.
2.2.2 Generated Audio Files
AI-generated voice messages are created when your alarms are scheduled to trigger. These audio files are stored locally on your device and temporarily on our servers for delivery purposes. Server-stored audio is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
2.2.3 App Usage Data
Basic information about how you interact with the App, stored locally on your device. This includes alarm history and message playback. We do not use third-party analytics services.
2.3 INFORMATION COLLECTED WITH YOUR PERMISSION
2.3.1 Location Data (Optional)
If you enable the weather feature, we access your approximate location solely to retrieve current weather conditions for your area. Your location is used momentarily to fetch weather data and is NOT stored on our servers or transmitted beyond the weather data request. You can disable this feature at any time.
2.3.2 Calendar Data (Optional)
If you enable the schedule feature, we access your calendar event titles and times to include relevant schedule information in your AI messages. Calendar data is read-only and NOT stored on our servers. We only access event titles and times; we do not access event notes, attendees, locations, or other details.
2.3.3 Push Notification Token
If you enable notifications (required for alarm functionality), we collect your device's push notification token to deliver alarm notifications at your scheduled times.
3.0 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
3.1 PRIMARY PURPOSES
3.1.1 We use your information for the following purposes:
(a) Generate personalized AI voice messages tailored to your preferences, selected tone, topic, and personal name.
(b) Deliver alarm notifications at your scheduled times.
(c) Include current weather information in your messages when you have enabled the weather feature.
(d) Include your schedule information in your messages when you have enabled the calendar feature.
(e) Process and manage your subscription through Apple's App Store (we do not process payments directly).
(f) Provide customer support when you contact us.
3.2 WHAT WE DO NOT DO
3.2.1 We do NOT:
(a) Sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
(b) Use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond our own service.
(c) Share your information with advertising networks.
(d) Use third-party analytics services to track your behavior.
(e) Create profiles about you for purposes unrelated to providing the App's services.
(f) Store your location or calendar data on our servers.
4.0 THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
4.1 SERVICE PROVIDERS
4.1.1 To provide our services, we work with the following categories of third-party service providers:
(a) AI Language Model Services: We use advanced AI language models to generate personalized message text. Data shared includes your display name (if provided), selected tone and topic preferences, calendar event titles (if enabled), and weather data (if enabled).
(b) Text-to-Speech Services: We use voice synthesis services to convert generated text messages into natural-sounding audio. Only the generated message text is shared with these services.
(c) Cloud Infrastructure Services: We use cloud hosting services located in the United States to process alarm data and temporarily store generated audio files. Data shared includes device identifier, alarm settings, and generated audio.
(d) Apple Platform Services: We use Apple's WeatherKit for weather data (location used momentarily), Apple's StoreKit for subscription management (handled entirely by Apple), and Apple's Push Notification service for alarm delivery.
4.2 DATA PROCESSING AGREEMENTS
4.2.1 All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to:
(a) Process your data only for the purposes we specify.
(b) Implement appropriate security measures to protect your data.
(c) Not use your data for their own purposes.
(d) Delete your data when no longer needed for the specified purposes.
5.0 DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
5.1 STORAGE LOCATIONS
5.1.1 Local Storage: The majority of your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage systems. This includes alarm settings, custom boyfriend personas, message history, and cached audio files.
5.1.2 Server Storage: When generating AI messages for alarms that require background processing (when the App is not active), data is temporarily processed on servers located in the United States.
5.2 DATA RETENTION PERIODS
5.2.1 The following retention periods apply:
(a) Local data (alarms, personas, message history): Retained until you delete it or uninstall the App.
(b) Server-stored audio files: Automatically deleted after 24 hours.
(c) Alarm synchronization data: Retained until the alarm is deleted or disabled.
(d) Location data: Not stored; used momentarily for weather requests only.
(e) Calendar data: Not stored; read momentarily for message generation only.
5.3 SECURITY MEASURES
5.3.1 We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
(a) All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
(b) Server-side data is encrypted at rest.
(c) Audio files are automatically deleted from servers after 24 hours.
(d) We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address.
(e) Access to server infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel only.
6.0 DATA SHARING
6.1 LIMITED SHARING
6.1.1 We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
(a) Service Providers: We share necessary data with service providers who assist in operating our App as described in Section 4.0. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
(b) Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
(c) Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice of any such change and any choices you may have.
6.2 NO SALE OF DATA
6.2.1 We do NOT sell your personal information. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to do so.
7.0 YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

7.1.1 Regardless of your location, you have the following rights:
(a) Access: You may request information about the personal data we hold about you.
(b) Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data.
(c) Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate information.
(d) Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for optional data collection (location, calendar) at any time.
(e) Opt-Out: You may opt out of optional features by disabling them in the App or device settings.
7.2 HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS
7.2.1 You can exercise your rights through the following methods:
(a) Delete Message History: Go to Settings, then Message History, then Delete All.
(b) Disable Weather Feature: Turn off the weather toggle in alarm settings, or revoke location permission in your device Settings.
(c) Disable Calendar Feature: Turn off the calendar toggle in alarm settings, or revoke calendar permission in your device Settings.
(d) Delete All Local Data: Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
(e) Request Server Data Deletion: Contact us at boyfriendclock.support@newversion.tech.
7.3 SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT
7.3.1 Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel or modify your subscription:
(a) Open the Settings app on your device.
(b) Tap your Apple ID at the top.
(c) Tap Subscriptions.
(d) Select Boyfriend Clock.
(e) Choose Cancel Subscription or modify your plan.
8.0 CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
8.1 AGE RESTRICTION
8.1.1 Boyfriend Clock is rated 17+ and is NOT intended for children under 17 years of age.
8.1.2 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17.
8.1.3 If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at boyfriendclock.support@newversion.tech, and we will take steps to delete such information.
8.1.4 If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 17, we will promptly delete that information.
9.0 INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
9.1 DATA PROCESSING LOCATION
9.1.1 Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
9.2 SAFEGUARDS FOR INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
9.2.1 For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we ensure that any transfer of personal data to countries outside these regions is protected by appropriate safeguards, including:
(a) Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

11.3.1 In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
(a) Identifiers: Device identifier.
(b) Geolocation data: Approximate location (only when weather feature enabled, not stored).
(c) Audio information: Generated voice messages.
(d) Inferences: Message preferences and alarm patterns (stored locally).
11.3.2 We have NOT sold any personal information in the preceding 12 months.
