Podcast: Boxford Historical Bicycle Trail

In 1986, Eagle Scout Alec Gillman created the Boxford Historical Bicycle Trail. He erected wooden signposts throughout the town at various historical landmarks, and then wrote a booklet detailing the history at each post. The bicycle trail is divided into three rides, which all start and end at the Harry Lee Cole School in East Boxford. The rides can also be completed as a single, longer ride, if desired.

During the 2020-2021 school year, Liam Quinlan, a Boxford Eagle Scout, set about replacing, repairing and repainting the old posts throughout the town. He also put together a podcast of the Boxford Historical Bicycle Trail so that it can be experienced in an audio format while cycling or driving through town.
