• Dongrui has passed the Qualifying Exam for his Ph.D. candidacy. Congratulations to Dongrui!!

• Our joint paper titled "SESOMP: A Scalable and Energy-Efficient Self-Organizing Map Processor with Compute-In-Memory and Dead Neuron Pruning" has won the Distinguished Design Award in the Student Design Contest at the 2023 IEEE Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference (A-SSCC), Haikou, China, November 2023. Congratulations to Yuncheng and Zhangxin!!

• Prof. Wang is invited by the City University of Hong Kong for a talk titled "Enabling Green AI for Edge with Hardware Acceleration". 

• Dongrui and Andres won the 3rd Prize for the Student Chipathon at the 2023 IEEE South East Asia Conference on Circuits and Systems (SEACAS 2023), Quezon City, Philippines, October 2023. Congratulations to Dongrui and Andres!!

• Prof. Wang is invited by SCMIT Singapore for a talk titled "A Case Study of AI Medical Devices: From Development to Implementation" at the ASEAN Workshop on the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence on Energy Security, Agriculture, Cyber Security, and Creative Industry, Jakarta, Indonesia, September 2023. 

• Our joint paper titled "A Low-Power In-Memory Multiplication and Accumulation Array with Modified Radix-4 Input and Canonical Signed Digit Weights" has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration Systems (TVLSI).

• Our group's paper titled "LAXOR: A Bit-Accurate BNN Accelerator with Latch-XOR Logic for Local Computing" has won the Best Paper Award at the 2023 International Symposium on Low Power Electronics and Design (ISLPED 2023), Vienna, Austria, August 2023. Congratulations to Dongrui and Yamasaki!!

• Prof. Wang is appointed as Singapore Secondary Focal Point for the Sub-Committee on Microelectronics and IT (SCMIT) under the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI), a sectoral body under the ASEAN Economic Community led by Minister for Trade & Industry, Singapore.

• Prof. Wang is invited by National Research Foundation, Singapore for a talk titled "Towards Green AI for Edge" in the Green AI workshop. 

• Yamasaki has passed the Qualifying Exam for his Ph.D. candidacy. Congratulations to Yamasaki!!

• Prof. Wang is elected as a member of the VLSI Systems and Applications Technical Committee (VSA-TC) of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS).
