Edge AI Acceleration Lab @ Singapore University of Technology and Design is dedicated to accelerating edge AI applications in the domain of VLSI Circuits and Systems spanning Integrated Circuits, Computer Architecture and Design Automation. By adopting a hardware-software co-design approach, we aim to deliver application-specific, energy-efficient and reliable accelerator platforms for intelligent IoT devices. Our research topics include:

We are actively looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. candidate for the Sep. 2024 intake with expertise in mixed-signal/VLSI circuit design or computer architecture under the newly awarded event-based vision project. Our joint paper titled "SESOMP: A Scalable and Energy-Efficient Self-Organizing Map Processor with Compute-In-Memory and Dead Neuron Pruning" has won the Distinguished Design Award in the Student Design Contest at the 2023 IEEE Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference (A-SSCC), Haikou, China, November 2023.
