概述 - BOUEN（下稱「本應用程式」）是一款專為日語學習者設計的詞彙學習應用程式，讓使用者透過相機掃描日常生活中的日語文字，建立個人化的單字庫並進行間隔重複複習。我們重視使用者的私隱，本政策說明我們收集、使用及保護您個人資料的方式。

我們收集的資料

帳戶資料

當您使用 Google 登入或 Apple 登入註冊帳戶時，我們會收集您的電郵地址、顯示名稱及個人頭像（ 如你上載自訂頭像，該圖片會儲存於 Firebase Cloud Storage，並與你的帳戶連結）。

學習內容

• 您透過相機掃描或手動輸入的日語詞彙及相關資料（例如中文釋義、例句、掌握程度）

• 您建立的資料夾及複習計劃

• 您的複習記錄及學習進度

掃描相片

本應用程式使用您裝置的相機或相簿功能，掃描日語文字以進行文字辨識（OCR）。文字辨識於您的裝置上進行，辨識所得的文字內容可能會與您的帳戶資料同步儲存，惟原始相片本身不會上傳至我們的伺服器。文字辨識使用 Apple Vision 及 Google ML Kit，兩者均於你的裝置上執行。部分翻譯使用 Apple 翻譯框架，同樣在裝置上進行。

使用資料

我們會記錄你的 App 使用活動（例如掃描次數、溫習答對次數、連續學習日數，以及你查詢或儲存的詞語），用以提供學習進度摘要、成就徽章及相關功能，並透過 Google Analytics for Firebase 了解 App 的使用情況。如你已登入，你的徽章進度（已獲得的徽章及獲得日期、掃描及溫習次數、連續日數）以及訂閱狀態會與你的帳戶同步，以便在不同裝置之間保留。

我們如何使用您的資料

• 提供及維持核心功能（單字庫管理、複習排程、跨裝置同步）

• 個人化您的學習體驗

資料儲存與安全

您的帳戶及學習資料儲存於 Google Firebase（Firestore 及 Cloud Storage）的伺服器上，並採用業界標準的加密及存取控制措施保護。我們不會將您的個人資料出售予第三方。

第三方服務

本應用程式使用以下第三方服務：

• Google Firebase（身份驗證、資料庫、儲存、分析、雲端函數、App Check）

• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In（帳戶登入）

• Apple StoreKit（訂閱購買）

• Apple Vision 及 Google ML Kit（裝置上文字辨識）

• Apple 翻譯（裝置上翻譯）

• Jisho / JMdict（日語詞典資料，採用 CC BY-SA 4.0 授權）

• Tatoeba（例句，採用創用CC授權）

• Google Gemini（透過 Vertex AI）—— 根據您查詢的單字及辭典資料，生成 AI 釋義、例句、同義詞及相關內容。傳送至 Google Gemini 的只有查詢中的日語詞語及其字典文字，不包含任何帳戶或個人資料。

上述服務可能會依其各自的私隱政策處理相關資料。

您的權利

您有權：

• 查閱及更新您的個人資料（可於應用程式的「個人檔案」頁面自行編輯）

• 要求刪除您的帳戶及相關資料

• 透過上方聯絡電郵向我們查詢或提出私隱相關問題

兒童私隱

本應用程式不會刻意收集 13 歲以下兒童的個人資料。如您發現本應用程式在未經家長同意下收集了兒童的個人資料，請透過上方電郵聯絡我們，我們將盡快處理。

政策更新

我們可能因應功能更新或法規要求，不時修訂本政策。任何重大修訂將於本頁面公佈，並更新上方「發佈日期」。

Overview - BOUEN ("the App") is a Japanese vocabulary learning application designed for learners who wish to build their vocabulary from real-world context. Users can scan Japanese text using their device camera, build a personalized word library, and review using spaced repetition. We take your privacy seriously, and this policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture (If you upload a custom profile picture, it is stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and linked to your account).

Learning Content

• Japanese vocabulary and related data you scan or manually enter (e.g. Chinese definitions, example sentences, mastery progress)

• Folders and review plans you create

• Your review history and learning progress

Scanned Photos

The App uses your device's camera or photo library to scan Japanese text for optical character recognition (OCR). Text recognition is performed on your device; the recognized text may be synced and stored with your account data, but the original photo itself is not uploaded to our servers. Text recognition uses Apple Vision and Google ML Kit, both running on your device. Some translations are performed on your device using Apple's Translation framework.

Usage Data

We record your app usage activity (e.g. number of scans, correct review answers, daily learning streaks, and which words you look up or save) in order to provide you with progress summaries, achievement badges and related features, and to understand how the App is used via Google Analytics for Firebase. If you are signed in, your badge progress (badges earned and the dates earned, scan and review counts, and streaks) and your subscription status are synced with your account so they are kept across devices.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain core functionality (vocabulary library management, review scheduling, cross-device sync)

• To personalize your learning experience

• To send notifications reminding you to review or use the App (you may adjust or disable these in Notification Settings)

• To improve app functionality and user experience

Data Storage and Security

Your account and learning data are stored on Google Firebase servers (Firestore and Cloud Storage), protected using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, analytics, cloud functions, App Check)

• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In (account login)

• Apple StoreKit (subscription purchases)

• Apple Vision and Google ML Kit (on-device text recognition)

• Apple Translation (on-device translation)

• Jisho / JMdict (Japanese dictionary data, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0) 

• Tatoeba (example sentences, Creative Commons licensed)

• Google Gemini via Vertex AI (AI-generated definitions, example sentences and related content). Only the Japanese word being looked up and its dictionary text are sent to Google Gemini; no account or personal information is included.

These services may process related data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update your personal information (editable in the App's Profile page)

• Request deletion of your account and associated data

• Contact us with privacy-related questions via the email above

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe the App has collected personal information from a child without parental consent, please contact us at the email above and we will address it promptly.

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy from time to time to reflect feature updates or regulatory requirements. Any material changes will be posted on this page, and the "Publish Date" above will be updated accordingly.
