Everyone deserves clothing that fits their body and an alterations experience where they feel welcome, respected, and comfortable.

My sewing journey began with #sewbadsewmad, a space where I learn, experiment, and share my love of sewing. Along the way, I have started helping friends and community members with alterations and repairs. I have always wanted to create a space that is welcoming where no one should feel shy or scared to have clothes fit their bodies, and honor them for who they are in the present moment.

Blue cotton summer button-down shirt

Button-down shirt too small; added extra fabric to make it XL.
Original buttons stay intact. Front sewn so buttons don't pop off due to body changes.

Bandana Fabric-Mixed Hoodie

Blue and black fabrics are combined into a new fabric. Created for and always worn by the artist.

Upcycled and upsized to make a large size.
2 different blazer fabrics combined.

2 different fabrics are combined and upcycled into a short tunic.
Recycled and thrifted fabric.

Shortened Blue Button-Down

Thrifted men's XL shirt.
The shirt was too long, so the sleeves and length were shortened for a better fit.

Blue fall jacket

Upcycled by adding a t-shirt design to add personal flair.
No other adjustments made.

Long-sleeved shirt with funky collar

Long dress/shirt with pockets made 100 by a bedsheet.
Size 2xl.

Fall-inspired tunic

3/4-sleeved shirt made from 2 new fabrics combined.
No pockets. Unfortunately. Size XXL.

Orange Fall button-down

Thrifted button-down expanded in size by adding "South Asian" inspired fabric.
New fabric is a tablecloth. Buttons sewn in the front to prevent them from popping out with body changes.
