If you want active noise cancellation and a wired listening setup for gaming, choose Bose QuietComfort 20; if you need wireless TV and console audio with long battery life, choose HomeSpot Neckband Headphones. For gaming, HomeSpot is the more practical fit when you want a bundled transmitter and low-latency audio; Bose is the simpler choice when blocking surrounding noise matters more than a wireless setup.
• Bose QuietComfort 20: Its key strength is active noise cancellation in a wired headphone design; its trade-off is a listed battery life of two hours for the noise-control electronics.
• HomeSpot Neckband Headphones: Its key strength is a wireless neckband bundle with a transmitter, multiple TV connections, and about 20 hours of headphone battery life; its trade-off is that optical TV audio must use PCM.
• For gaming: HomeSpot’s transmitter supports aptX Low Latency, with audio latency listed at 40 milliseconds. Bose may suit someone who prioritizes noise cancellation and is comfortable using a wired connection.
• Choose Bose if active noise cancellation is your main need and a 3.5 mm connection suits your setup.
• Choose HomeSpot if you want a neckband you can wear around your neck between sessions, or want to listen wirelessly to a compatible TV or game console.
The Bose QuietComfort 20 is a wired headphone with a 3.5 mm jack and active noise cancellation. That combination is its defining advantage here: the connection is direct, while the noise-control feature is designed to reduce distractions around you. For gaming in a noisy room, that may matter more than having a wireless headset. The listed audio frequency range is 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and the headphones use dynamic drivers.
Its noise-control electronics have a listed battery life of two hours and a listed charge time of two hours. That is a meaningful limitation for long sessions: the product information does not support treating the battery as an all-day feature. The wired connection avoids relying on a wireless audio link, but it also means you need a compatible 3.5 mm connection on the device or controller. The model is described as compatible with Apple devices, so buyers should check their own device’s connection requirements rather than assume compatibility with every gaming setup.
This particular listing is for a renewed product, described as professionally inspected and tested to work and look like new. It also lists a 90-day limited warranty. That context is worth weighing separately from the headphone design: this is not presented as a new unit. I’d consider Bose when active noise cancellation is the priority and a wired setup works for the device I plan to use.

Who should skip it: Skip Bose if you need long battery life, a bundled wireless transmitter, or a straightforward wireless connection to a TV or console.
HomeSpot combines JY100 wireless neckband headphones with a Bluetooth transmitter. The bundle is designed to connect to a TV or other audio source through 3.5 mm, RCA, or optical audio cables. It also lists compatibility with game consoles, including PlayStation and Xbox systems, as well as Blu-ray players, projectors, and AV receivers. That makes it a more adaptable starting point for a living-room gaming setup, especially when the audio source does not offer the wireless connection you want.
For gaming, the main technical point is the transmitter’s support for aptX Low Latency. The product information lists audio latency at 40 milliseconds. That gives a buyer a concrete reason to consider it for games and video where sound and picture need to stay closely aligned. The headphones list about 20 hours of battery life, and a 20-minute charge is described as providing up to eight hours of listening. The transmitter’s own battery figures differ by connection type: approximately five hours on digital and 15 hours on analog. Those are separate components, so it is useful to distinguish headphone endurance from transmitter endurance when planning a long session.
The neckband weighs 24 grams, and the headphones use 10 mm dynamic drivers. HomeSpot also includes extra ear tips in sizes S and L, plus left-right channel balance adjustment. These details point toward a lightweight, adjustable personal-listening setup rather than a conventional over-ear gaming headset. One setup detail matters: if you use the optical Toslink connection, the TV’s digital output must be set to PCM. A non-PCM output can result in no sound through the headphones.
Who should skip it: Skip HomeSpot if you specifically want active noise cancellation; its listed noise control is passive, and its optical connection requires the correct PCM audio setting.
• Best fit for wireless gaming through a bundled transmitter → HomeSpot Neckband Headphones. The transmitter is included, and aptX Low Latency is supported.
• Best fit when active noise cancellation is the priority → Bose QuietComfort 20. HomeSpot lists passive noise cancellation instead.
• Best for long headphone listening between charges → HomeSpot Neckband Headphones. Its headphone battery life is listed at about 20 hours, compared with Bose’s two-hour battery figure.
• Best for a direct 3.5 mm wired connection → Bose QuietComfort 20. That connection can be appealing if your device or controller has a compatible jack and you do not want to set up a transmitter.
• Best for connecting to different home audio outputs → HomeSpot Neckband Headphones. Its bundle includes 3.5 mm, RCA, and Toslink optical cables.
• Best if you want to move around while listening → HomeSpot Neckband Headphones. The product information lists a wireless range of up to 100 feet, though the transmitter’s detailed operating-distance information also gives a 66-foot figure. Treat range as dependent on the component and setup rather than a guarantee for every room.
• Best for avoiding a Bluetooth audio link to the headphones → Bose QuietComfort 20. It has a wired 3.5 mm connection, though its noise-cancellation electronics still have a battery requirement.
• Best for shared-room TV or console listening → HomeSpot Neckband Headphones. The transmitter-based setup lets you listen through the headphones without routing the sound through room speakers.
Buying Considerations
Before choosing, check the ports on the device you’ll use. Bose’s 3.5 mm connection is simple only when the console, controller, or other source has a suitable jack. HomeSpot provides several audio cables, but the source still needs a compatible output. For optical audio, confirm that the TV or source can send PCM; otherwise, the transmitter may receive a format it cannot play.
The phrase usb c charging headphone for gaming may also point to a feature that neither listing establishes. Bose’s listed charge time is two hours, but its charging-port type is not specified. HomeSpot includes USB-A-to-micro-USB charging cables, not USB-C cables. If USB-C charging is essential, verify that requirement before buying rather than inferring it from either product’s wireless features.
Finally, think about how you wear headphones during a session. Bose is listed with an over-ear placement, while HomeSpot uses an in-ear design with a neckband. HomeSpot’s light 24-gram construction and neck-worn form may appeal to someone who wants the earbuds close at hand between rounds. Bose may make more sense for someone focused on reducing ambient noise. Neither set of listed specifications establishes microphone performance, so shoppers looking for the best wireless headphones for gaming should separate game-audio needs from voice-chat needs and confirm microphone support independently.
For gaming, I would choose HomeSpot Neckband Headphones if I wanted wireless TV or console audio, a supplied transmitter, and a longer headphone battery life. The 40-millisecond latency figure and included connection cables make it the more purpose-built option for a living-room setup. I’d choose Bose instead if active noise cancellation and a wired 3.5 mm connection mattered more to me than extended battery life or wireless convenience.
They are designed to work with game consoles and include a transmitter supporting aptX Low Latency; the listed audio latency is 40 milliseconds. Check that your console or TV has a compatible audio output, and set optical audio to PCM if you use Toslink.
Which is better for blocking noise while gaming?
Yes, the bundle includes a Toslink optical cable. The digital audio output must be set to PCM; a non-PCM signal can result in no sound.
If you need clear voice chat, confirm microphone support for the exact setup before choosing.
