October - Chicago - video
The night of October 18 we reboarded the City Of New Orleans and continued over night to Chicago where we among other things visited the graves of our grandparents (Yvonne: Edward and Lydia LaTour, John: Carl and Hilda Barkman and aunt Martha Fogelberg; Harold and Iola Ashenhurst) and saw where they had lived in the 1940s.
From Chicago Rich and Karen Schreck drove us out to Villa Park and Lombard and we we drove around our old neighborhoods, had a tour of Willowbrook High School and attended a Willowbrook reunion for the class of 1961.
October - Memphis - video
On October 16 we took Amtrak to Memphis and spent the next two days touring, including visiting the National Civil Rights Museum.

October 11 we met James and Keith in New Orleans and toured the city and surroundings over the next six days, with some great meals and a swamp tour and visit to Whitney Plantation - a slave memorial

2022 August: Metropole meeting with electricians to get a proposal to create infrastructure for EV charging for every parking space, Ballard P-patch art fair and open house, lunch at the Ashenhursts, dinner with Gordon and Sylvia, waterfront walking tour with David Williams, Seward Park walk, cruise to Des Moines and back, dinner with J, J, and R, walk to Golden Gardens and up the stairs to Sunset Hill

In June we visited April and Nathan in Salem to attend a reception for April's Antarctica painting exhibit at Hallie Form Museum at Wilamette University, had dinner with Jen, JC, and Rosa at Chinook's at Salmon Bay Fishermen's Terminal, we visited Sue and Bob at Covenant on Mercer Island, Metropole halls painted, carpet replaced, Yvonne went to Block Island with Alison to see Edie and Gloria while John stayed with Noah and family on Oyster Bay Road and also met Morgan's friend, Tessa for the first time.
