El Paso Community College's Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity is thrilled to extend an invitation to the esteemed Binational Border Cybersecurity Summit. This event is scheduled for May 16 and 17, 2024, and will be hosted at the El Paso Community College, Valle Verde campus in room AST 150. We are convening for a pivotal two-day event to highlight and celebrate the advances in cybersecurity across El Paso, Las Cruces, and Cd. Juarez region.
The goal of this summit is to identify credentials of value within the region that can enhance cybersecurity opportunities across various disciplines, meeting the needs of regional educational institutions, industries, and private sector partners. This year, we are especially excited to feature contributions from RING (Regions Investing in the Next Generation). RING, an innovative online cybersecurity course designed for high school students, focuses on providing rich, engaging content for those without access to existing cybersecurity programs. Their mission is not only to educate but also to mentor students on their journey toward a cybersecurity career, emphasizing the importance of ethics and pride in their work. RING represents a vital step forward, crafting the tools that will empower the forthcoming wave of cybersecurity professionals.

Besides additional labs and classrooms at the The Arts Science and Technology (AST), a large community engagement space will promote interactive learning, accommodating everything from lectures to performances to guest speakers and special events. There will be cutting-edge science and computer science labs with the latest technology, learning tools, and collaborative research spaces.
