Welcome to BoostSkill ("we", "our", or "us"), published by RythPixel App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how our mobile application operates.

This Privacy Policy explains how BoostSkill handles information, our local-first offline data architecture, third-party service integrations (including Google Play Services and Google AdMob), and your privacy rights.

By downloading, installing, or using BoostSkill, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. 100% Local-First Storage & Core Privacy Philosophy

• 100% On-Device Storage: All your study sessions, custom skills, milestone roadmaps, timer metrics, daily streaks, and companion pets are stored strictly on your local device in an encrypted SQLite database.

• No Mandatory Account Registration: You do not need to create an account, sign in with an email address, or provide personal identifiers to use BoostSkill.

• No Cloud Tracking: We do not operate external cloud servers that collect, track, or monitor your personal study sessions or habit data.

• Local Notifications: All focus reminders and session timer alerts run 100% locally on your device via Android exact alarms. We do not use remote push notification servers.

2. Information Handled by BoostSkill

A. Information You Provide Within the App

• Profile Display Name: You may choose an optional nickname (such as "Scholar") to personalize your dashboard and Certificates of Mastery. This name is stored solely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

• Skill and Study Logs: All skill names, tags, target hours, session durations, mood logs, and notes are stored strictly in your local device SQLite database.

B. Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party SDKs

While BoostSkill does not collect personal data directly, integrated third-party SDKs may collect certain device and diagnostic data:

• Device and Hardware Information: Device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and language/locale settings.

• Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) used by Google Mobile Ads to deliver relevant or non-personalized ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.

• Diagnostic Data: Aggregated crash logs and ANR (Application Not Responding) metrics reported via Google Play Console to maintain stability.

3. Third-Party Services & Google Play Services

BoostSkill integrates with trusted Google Play ecosystem services:

• Google Play Services: Used for core Android platform functionality, system security, and Google Play In-App Review prompts. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Google Play Games Services (Optional): If you choose to enable Google Play Games sync, your gamer profile ID, avatar, and study XP are used to submit and display scores on official global leaderboards and unlock productivity achievements. Governed by: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. We implement the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form to support GDPR (EEA/UK) and CCPA (California) user privacy preferences. 4. Device Permissions Requested

To deliver focus timer features and export certificates, BoostSkill requests the following standard permissions:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to display timer completion alerts, break notifications, and daily study reminders. All notification schedules are created and stored 100% locally on your device.

• Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Required on Android 12+ (API 31+) to guarantee focus timers trigger to the exact second without delay from OS battery-saver optimizations.

• Media Library / Storage Access: Used only when you choose to export or save a generated "Certificate of Mastery" or study summary graphic to your device's photo gallery.

5. Data Retention, Backup & Permanent Deletion

• Local Storage Lifetime: Your data remains stored on your device as long as the App remains installed.

• Data Export & Backup: You can export all your skills and session records into a readable JSON backup file at any time via Settings > Export Data.

• Permanent Deletion: You can permanently wipe all records, sessions, skills, and virtual items at any time by selecting Settings > DANGER ZONE > Reset All Data / Delete Account & Data, or by uninstalling the application.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

BoostSkill is designed for general productivity and study purposes and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiers from children. Advertising requests are restricted to family-safe ratings (maxAdContentRating: 'G').

7. Regional Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and California have full rights to access, export, or erase their data. Ad preferences can be modified anytime in the App via Settings > DATA & PRIVACY > Ad Privacy Settings.
