Bookworm ("we," "the app") helps high school students explore colleges and estimate admission odds. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Account information you provide: name, email, and academic profile (GPA, test scores, intended major, home state, and similar details you enter).
Your saved colleges, preferences, application tracking, and in-app activity.
Messages you send to the Bookworm AI counselor.
How we use it
To calculate your estimated admission odds using public data from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard.
To provide and improve app features such as your college list, matching, and the AI counselor.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data storage and third parties
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase.
We use RevenueCat to process subscriptions and Anthropic to power the AI counselor. These providers process data only to deliver their services.
Admission odds disclaimer
All admission odds shown in Bookworm are estimates based on publicly available data and the information you provide. They are not guarantees or predictions of admission. Always confirm details directly with colleges.
Children's privacy
Bookworm is intended for high school students. If you are under the age required in your region to provide consent, please use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your choices
You can edit your profile or delete your account at any time within the app, which removes your associated data.
