What data we collect and why
Audio recordings BooksDown records audio on your device when you use the recording feature. These recordings are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone. We have no access to them. Deleting the app removes all recordings.
Advertising data (free version only) The free version of BooksDown displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob automatically collects certain data including your device's IP address, advertising identifier, and information about how you interact with ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. It may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via your device settings under Privacy → Ads.

Your rights under GDPR
If you are based in the European Economic Area you have the right to:
Access the personal data held about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Since we do not store any personal data on our own servers, most of these rights apply directly to Google in respect of AdMob data. Contact us at citizenposer@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Legal basis for processing
AdMob data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests (serving relevant advertising to support the free tier). You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time as described above.
Children
BooksDown is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at the URL you were given. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
