This Privacy Policy explains how Books Log ("the App") handles your information. Our core philosophy is that your reading habits, study notes, and personal library are your private business. We designed Books Log to respect your privacy by operating entirely offline.
Information Collection and Storage
Books Log is a fully offline application. All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device's internal storage. This includes, but is not limited to:
* Book metadata (Titles, Authors, Categories, Genres)
* Reading statuses and progress (Currently Reading, Completed)
* Your "Favorites" list and dynamically generated categories
We do not collect, transmit, sync, or store any of your data on external servers. Your digital library remains entirely on your device.
Internet Connection and Data Transmission
Books Log does not require an internet connection to function. Because the App operates 100% offline, it completely eliminates the possibility of your personal reading data being quietly transmitted in the background. We do not use cloud backups, remote databases, or online accounts.
Third-Party Access, Analytics, and Advertising
* No Advertisements: Books Log does not display any third-party advertisements.
* No Tracking or Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics tools, crash reporters, or tracking software (such as Google Analytics or Facebook SDK). Your behavior within the app, search queries, and filter usage are never monitored or analyzed by us or any third party.
User Control and Data Deletion
Because your data is strictly localized, you have absolute control over it at all times:
* Managing Entries: You can edit or delete any specific book, note, or review directly within the App's Log Manager.
* Complete Deletion: If you want to erase all your data permanently, you can simply uninstall the App from your device or clear the App's data via your device's operating system settings. Since we do not hold copies of your data, uninstalling the App acts as a complete and irreversible deletion of your Books Log library.
Children's Privacy
Books Log is safe for users of all ages. Because the App does not connect to the internet, does not feature ads, and does not collect personal information, it strictly complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar global regulations.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if we introduce new features (for example, if we eventually add an optional cloud-sync feature). Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
