The Emergence of African Drama and Language Evolution

The emergence of any art form is the consequence of intellectual contention; and with this contention evolves how we represent, or misrepresent things. Theater art form in Africa was necessarily the result of the African experience. During the period of the era of the solo African existence, Africa prospered and retrogressed where sometimes there were epochs of great social accomplishments and at other times there were intervals of great human distress; and this dynamic was the core which contributed to Africa’s ultimate destiny. Africa’s cultural development was no different than any other development of civilized societies. There were periods of great intellectual and cultural advancements, but, also, there were times when intellectual achievements faltered; these were the instances which led to contemporaneous Africa. However, contemporaneous Africa is not a stagnate circumstance, because change is an inevitable constant which dictates that celestial, cosmic, and human forces all contribute to the eventual outcomes of social destiny. There are philosophical and moral factors which determine the fate of any human society. Fortune and glory have their own attributes; this is the same with disgrace and thralldom. Cosmic existence relies on other dynamisms of nature where the human process is intermingled with adamant potencies which utter unconditional laws which the human being must acknowledge and respect. Certain proceedings yield certain results which affirm that there cognition of specific laws in nature is the determining factor which resolves greatness or ignominy. There is an inescapable reality which centers on the acknowledgement of God which tends to be a transcendental aspect of all social groups. This principle is manifested because once sufficient intellectual development occurs in a particular social group, the acceptance of a Being that is greater than man becomes a collective acknowledgement. Normally, since mankind is incapable of knowing all the real truths despite his quest, he ultimately realizes that there is a Power more sublime than himself. However, despite the societal acknowledgement of the existence of God, particular personalities rise up in all ages and in all social groups which ignore the ever present reality of God, and here is where social destiny lies. The fact that humanity transcends throughout the globe and God is no respecter of mankind, but being the Ultimate Judge; and that given a particular time in particularized human development, the social group that bows to the Ultimate Redeemer will be remunerated while the foil who snubs God earns the penalty. This is the ultimate divine rule which justifies or declassifies the communal positioning of one social group over another. Moreover, although the divine rule may seem guileless, its brunt is ostentatious. So, those who choose to position themselves in opposition to God become the ultimate retainers. Mendicancy is the consequence of previous adverse behavior and the non-regard for the Divine. The social destiny of post-colonial Africa rests with the attitudes and conduct of the African people proximately prior to European colonialism. It is neither just nor reasonable to impute European colonialism for the infirmities of Africa during the periods of its enslavement, because there are cosmic and celestial aspects which amalgamate social destiny. Africa’s general disregard for moral principle at that particular time in history was the contributing factor which instigated its defeat. Notwithstanding contemporary global existence, Africa lacked in certain respects, and it was because of Africa’s lack of virtue which ultimately led to it being subjected to colonial rule.In this discourse, the aim is to investigate and speculate on historical Africa , ancient history and to offer speculative commentary dealing with the development of language.
