Welcome to AI Book Cover Art Design Maker ("the App"). We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about our data practices.
This Privacy Policy has been drafted specifically to comply with Apple App Store Guidelines 5.1.1(i) (Data Collection and Storage) and 5.1.2(i) (Data Use), with a specific focus on our integration with third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services.
We practice strict data minimization. The App does not collect, require, or store any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical location) to function. You do not need to create an account to use the App.
The ONLY data we collect is:
Text Prompts: The text descriptions you type into the cover design generator or the AI chat assistant (e.g., "A dark fantasy cover with a glowing sword and misty forest").
How it is collected: You manually type and actively submit this text within the App.
The text prompts you provide are used strictly for the core functionality of the App:
To generate high-quality book cover images based on your text description.
To provide responses, advice, and book cover design consultation via the AI chat assistant.
We do not use your text prompts for marketing, tracking, advertising, profiling, or selling to third-party data brokers.
To provide AI-generated images and intelligent chat responses, the App must send your text prompts to specialized third-party AI services.
Obtaining Your Permission: Before sending any data to these third parties, the App will explicitly ask for your permission via a mandatory, upfront in-app consent screen. If you do not consent, no data will be sent, and the AI features will remain inactive.
If you provide consent, your text prompts are shared only with the following specific, verified providers:
Who they are: A leading artificial intelligence research and deployment company.
What data is sent: Only the text prompt you type.
Why it is sent: To enhance and expand your short design prompt into a detailed, professional book cover design description, and to power the interactive AI chat assistant.
Confirmation of Equal Protection: We confirm that OpenAI provides data protection standards equal to or greater than those required by this Privacy Policy and Apple's Guidelines. OpenAI does not use data submitted via their API to train their foundational models. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Who they are: A platform for running advanced machine learning models (specifically, the FLUX model by Black Forest Labs).
What data is sent: The enhanced text description (prompt) generated by OpenAI.
Why it is sent: To visually render and generate the actual high-quality image of the book cover.
Confirmation of Equal Protection: We confirm that Replicate provides data protection standards equal to or greater than those required by this Privacy Policy and Apple's Guidelines. Generated images are temporarily processed for the sole purpose of returning the result to your device, after which they are deleted from their active rendering servers.
No other data (no device IDs, no names, no personal photos) is ever sent to these or any other third parties.
Data Saved on Device: All generated cover images, your design history, and your subscription credit balances are stored locally on your device using local storage mechanisms. We do not maintain a remote cloud database holding your personal design history.
Photo Library Access: The App requests NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription (Add-Only access). This permission is used exclusively to allow you to save your AI-generated cover designs directly to your device's camera roll. The App cannot and does not read, scan, or access any of your existing personal photos.
Because all generated data, text prompts, and history are stored locally on your device, you maintain complete control over your data. To permanently delete your design history and any saved prompts, simply delete the App from your device. Data sent to OpenAI and Replicate is processed ephemerally for the purpose of fulfilling your request and is not stored or used for model training.
The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
