Privacy Policy for Bookmarks Music Player

Effective date: May 16, 2026

Bookmarks Music Player is a Chrome extension that plays YouTube links from a bookmark folder selected by the user.

Information used

The extension reads browser bookmarks only after the user selects a bookmark folder. It uses YouTube links from that selected folder to build a local playback queue.

The extension stores data locally in Chrome storage, including the selected folder ID, loaded YouTube bookmark list, playback queue, playback state, volume, shuffle and repeat settings, temporary fallback tab information, and video title or thumbnail metadata used in the player interface.

How information is used

This information is used only for the extension's music player features: folder selection, queue playback, shuffle, repeat, mini player controls, side panel controls, and fallback playback in a controlled YouTube tab when a video cannot be embedded.

Third-party services

The extension may request public video metadata and thumbnails from YouTube and noembed.com only to display track titles and preview images in the player.

Data sharing

Bookmarks Music Player does not sell user data, does not transfer personal data for advertising, and does not track users across websites. The extension does not collect passwords, payment information, medical information, personal communications, precise location data, or authentication credentials.

User control

Users can change the selected bookmark folder, edit bookmarks, disable the extension, or uninstall it at any time.
