Havelock Island also known as Swaraj Dweep is the prime dive destination 70 kilometers from the capital city of Port Blair suitable for all kinds of scuba enthusiasts. The transparent blue waters of Havelock offer 25 stunning dive sites suitable for beginners and certified divers as per their certification and skill levels.
Swimming is not a prerequisite for beginner (non-certified) scuba divers; anyone can dive if they fall within the age limit of 12 to 50 years and are physically and mentally fit to dive.
Nemo Reef: It is a prominent shallow dive site close to Nemo Beach's shoreline. Nemo reef is known for 5 different species of clownfish, reef fishes, unique coral structures (including natural and man-made), and an artificial Jweep wreck.
The depth of the reef varies from 2 to 8 meters and early morning dive is recommended to have the best experience.
Tribe Gate: It is an oval-shaped big reef located 2 kilometers from Beach-03, Govind Nagar and easily accessible via a 5 minutes speed boat ride. The top of the reef starts from 3 meters and drops to the sandy bottom at 14 meters. The reef is popular for a variety of multiple fish species, multi-point sea anemones, and a combination of soft and hard corals. Tribe Gate crystal clear waters and calm sea conditions are ideal for snorkelling activities too.
Turtle Beach: It is the best dive site for beginners or nonswimmers located southwest of Havelock Island and a 25-minute speed boat ride away from the training point. Turtle Beach is a shallow reef popular for its colourful staghorn coral gardens and numerous reef fish species. You can also spot starfish, manta rays, and lobsters resting on the sandy bottom of the reef. The top part of the reef starts from 2 meters and lands to 10 meters on the bottom. The shallow reefs and great visibility of the site are quite suitable for snorkelling activities too. Turtle Beach is recommended to get the best experience of scuba diving in Havelock Island for first-timers.
The Wall: The reef works as a cleaning station for a large group of fish, such as barracuda, bannerfish, snappers, jackfish, and fusiliers. The reef is a wall-like structure starting from 10.2 meters and dropping to 55 meters into the deep. The site offers a combination of soft and hard coral in different colours including pink, yellow, purple, green, and white. The wall is located between the water channel of Havelock lighthouse and Peel Island and is suitable for intermediate and advanced divers.
The Slope: The site's topography describes it as a gentle sloping reef close to Peel Island's shoreline. The reef of the site starts from 4 meters and drops to the sandy bottom at 18 meters. Slope coral reef is popular amongst open water students and intermediate divers. You can spot at this site numerous species of colourful coral reefs and sea dwellers. The best season to scuba dive at Slope is October to May.
SS Inchkeith Wreck: It is the best dive site to spot a shipwreck lying 18 meters on the sandy bottom located 20 kilometers west of Havelock Island. It was a cargo ship that got stuck in the rocks and sunk in 1955 near Duncan Island. SS Inchkeith Wreck dive site is suitable for open-water divers or above qualified certification levels. The popular sightings of the site include a large propeller and bow of the shipwreck and different reef fish species sheltered by the shipwreck.

The price includes 40 minutes of actual scuba diving, up to 90 minutes of practice sessions at shallow waters, a minimum of 40 photos and 2 videos of 4 minutes underwater for your actual scuba dive experience.

SS Inchkeith Wreck: The price of scuba diving at The wreck is INR 9440 per person including 18% GST. The price includes 50 minutes of actual scuba diving time for each 2 dives.
Note:- Certified divers who continuously didn’t dive for the last 6 months, will have to go for a refresher course before fun dives.
