Qualified applicants, holding a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, are encouraged to apply with the goal of joining the BONUS research group.
The BONUS research group investigates the foundations of solving difficult optimization problems with complex characteristics in the decision and objective spaces (e.g., large-scale, multi-objective, expensive) using advanced approaches at the intersection of computational intelligence (e.g., stochastic and evolutionary search heuristics, exact algorithms, fitness landscape analysis), machine learning (e.g., surrogates, automated approaches, NAS, HPO), and HPC (e.g., clusters, GPUs, supercomputers). The candidate’s background and research proposal should demonstrate the connection with one (or more) of these areas.
Some benefits in addition to the salary:
Subsidized meals,
Partial reimbursement of public transport costs,
Leave: 7 weeks of annual leave + 10 extra days off due to RTT (statutory reduction in working hours) + possibility of exceptional leave (sick children, moving home, etc.),
