Along with this, Came the news that Barnes will be bringing his "Already Piloted" radio-based sitcom to add to the list of upcoming comedy web programming in which we will be producing.
However, shortly after this news, T.B.P went into recession and eventually closed down, seemingly for good. The future of Old Man Bill hung in the balance, with no production company to produce the comedy any longer.
Barnes admitted to contacting that of original production company and long-term collaborator, Routledge Media. They had already produced a pilot episode last March, and were happy to consider taking the comedy on again, due to having worked with Barnes for then, around four years straight.
Shortly after talks begun, Routledge Media themselves released a statement, confirming their money and cashflow woes, admitting that they could 'NO LONGER GO ON' producing web content. Old Man Bill was ready for the chop, after only a pilot episode.

The first new, independently produced episode was released on 25th December, and went down a storm, alongside the second episode, which came just a week later on 1st January. And with viewers eagerly awaiting the finale episode of the series, were given a shock. Barnes had run out of the correct resources and cash in order to produce a finale episode.
Speaking on the social networking/media app Instagram, Barnes said:
"It has been an absolute pleasure, bringing to character of Bill to life on radio. I am overjoyed to be coming back as the oddball who can do no wrong in life. He’s great fun to play and such a joyous, hilarious character that I has been built from the ground up by myself, more so excited, that he will be coming back via my own production company"
