The Bone Box is, by far, the Arizona Game and Fish Department's most popular resource trunk. It contains the skulls, hides and pictures from 10 common Arizona mammals. There are a number of other resources included in the box to help you bring native wildlife into your classroom.
The Bone Box is the most widely distributed box across the state. Each of our regional offices has them available as well as a number of other partner organizations.
Like all of our resource trunks, they cannot be shipped. They must be picked up and returned to the appropriate location. The trunks are free to borrow and are usually checked out for about a week at a time.
The information below will help you get a better understanding of the resources that are available within the bone box. Hopefully, this will help you adequately prepare to bring the box into your classroom.
