Athletics NSWCHS Carnival

Congratulations to all of the students who travelled to Homebush to compete at the NSWCHS Athletics Carnival. Competing in a South Coast team at a state level is a terrific achievement! Outstanding results include Amika B, 3rd in High Jump, Joel H, 2nd in the 400m sprint, 4th in 100m and 200m and Akala M who came 4th in the 100m and 200m.

Year 7 Gala Day

The annual Year 7 Gala Day was held on the Friday of Week 8. It was a hugely successful, fun filled day made even better by the beautiful weather. Bomaderry High entered several teams across the sports of Touch Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball and Soccer. Well done to all of the Year Seven students who attended on their excellent behaviour, school spirit and sportsmanship. Thank you to Mr Arthur for organising this event in partnership with Shoalhaven Zone Sport and the local sporting associations.

South Coast Cricket Representatives

Congratulations to Hyeon P and Justin R on their selection in the South Coast Opens Cricket team. These talented cricketers will travel to Armidale in November to compete at the NSW CHSSA tournament. Bomaderry High School wishes them the best of luck.

10 PASS Primary Schools Basketball Challenge

Year 10 Physical Activity and Sports Studies student attended the Primary Schools Basketball Challenge Days held at the Bomaderry Stadium in Week 7. Students put their skills to practice by coaching year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. All of the students involved were excellent role models for the Primary students, demonstrating caring and responsible attitudes. Awesome work, 10 PASS!

Year 7 and 8 Sports Selections Term 4

Year 7 and 8 will be choosing their Term 4 sport. The options are T-Ball, Circus Sports ($1 per week), Soccer, Basketball, Touch Football, Swimming ($2.50 per week), Dance and Board Games. Students need to select their sport at the school gym.

Year 7 students will be doing their chosen sport for 4 weeks, the remaining weeks they will be participating in a cricket skills program run through the Schools Sporting Grant program.

Year 7 Volleyball

Last Friday, the Year 7 Mixed Volleyball team competed in a Gala Day against other local schools at Nowra High. They defeated Kiama High, Nowra High, Shoalhaven High and Vincentia High to take the win. By the end of the day, no opponents were willing to play Bomaderry High School. The team was coached by Yr 11 student Ryan.B. Well done to the players and coach for being great sports and representing our school with pride.
