Romina Muse

Biodata

Romina G. Muse is a Teacher of English from the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She holds a degree in English from ISP Dr Joaquín V González and a Diploma in Neuropsychology and Learning Disabilities from FNC-Universidad de Morón. She studied in Cambridge, England, where she took courses in ESL and taught Spanish as a foreign language. She was directed by Susan Hillyard (B.Eds). in a Special Educational Needs program for the Ministry of Education in Buenos Aires. She is the founder and director of Dynamic English Centre. Her school is involved in academic events organized by the British Embassy, the NYU and the CIEE. She is a researcher on language and learning disabilities. She participated as a presenter in FAAPI Conferences 2018-2019.

TITLE: Using Stories to Teach Conflict Resolution Skills in the ESL Classroom

This workshop explores the dialogue between children’s literature and behavior, to show ways in which stories can help teachers prevent challenging behavior in the young learners’ classrooms. The audience is invited to explore and consider stories as the perfect vehicle for teaching young learners coping skills and strategies to deal with conflicts. This workshop encourages participants to analyze the relevance of such stories and use them in their own classroom practice.
