TITLE: Blended Learning Revisited. Towards a Learning Centered Approach

A lot has been said about Blended Learning but very little but a huge infusion of technology is what has been observed in the English classroom. Blended learning actually implies re-thinking the role of the teacher and new sets of skills added to their pre-service curricula of instruction. In this workshop, participants will be guided through a necessary theoretical foundation of what blended learning is, then, focus on a Blended Learning model, the Flipped Classroom, and have practical experience analyzing when and what to flip in order to maximize classroom time and encourage student agency and learner autonomy.
