Pets in the Classroom

2020-2021 Petco Grant

As the leader of the Freshman Seminar program at Calabasas High School, we find year after year that students lack certain real-world skills. One thing that our 9th graders could really benefit from is an opportunity to be responsible for someone (something) other than themselves. I found Pets in the Classroom as a possible opportunity to add more project-based learning while also focusing on how students can become responsible human beings.
