This Privacy Policy outlines how Matrix Solution (hereafter referred to as "the app") collects, uses, and discloses information about you. Please review it carefully before using the app.
Information Collection:
We do not have a registration/login process and do not store personal information on our servers.
The app requires certain permissions to function:
Photo Library Access: To choose and save photos from your photo library after editing.
Camera Access: To enable real-time face and body detection features within the app.
On-Device Face and Body Detection:
For its real-time interactive features, the app uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect facial and body features such as eyes, nose, hands, and body pose. This processing occurs entirely on your device. The app processes temporary face and body landmark information (for example: eye position, nose position, hand position, and body pose) only to enable this real-time functionality. No images or biometric identifiers from these on-device features are stored, and this data is not used for identification, tracking across apps, advertising, analytics, or profiling. It exists only in temporary memory during active use and is immediately discarded when the session ends.
Face Data Collection and Use:

What face data is collected:
The app processes temporary face and body landmark information (for example: eye position, nose position, hand position, and body pose) only to enable real-time functionality. No images, biometric identifiers, or personally identifiable face data are stored.
How face data is used:
Face and body landmark data is used solely to provide in-app visual interaction and functionality. This data is processed in real time and is not used for identification, tracking across apps, advertising, analytics, or profiling.
AI Beauty Features and Third-Party Processing (Perfect Corp. / YouCam):
Certain premium AI features — including AI Hair Style, AI Hair Color, and AI Makeup Transfer — are powered by Perfect Corp.'s YouCam technology. When you use one of these features, the photo you select is uploaded to and processed on Perfect Corp.'s servers to generate the AI result. This means that, for these specific features only, your selected image is transmitted to a third-party AI provider.
According to Perfect Corp.'s policy, photos uploaded for these cloud-based features are processed temporarily and are permanently deleted from their servers after the processing is complete. Facial feature information may be extracted solely to apply the requested effect and is not used to identify you. Perfect Corp. does not use your photos to create or train generative AI models unless you separately and explicitly consent to it.
By using these AI features, you consent to your selected photo being sent to Perfect Corp. for processing. If you do not wish for your images to be processed by a third party, please do not use these specific AI features. Data sharing:
The three AI features described above (AI Hair Style, AI Hair Color, and AI Makeup Transfer) are the only features that send data off your device, and they send only the photo you select, only to Perfect Corp., and only after you have agreed in the app. Apart from those three features, every editing tool in the app — reshape, retouch, filters, adjustments, stickers, and all on-device face and body detection — runs entirely on your device, and no image, face data, biometric identifier, or personal data is transmitted, shared, or sent to our servers, to any AI service, or to any other external provider. We never sell your data or share it with data brokers.
Purchases and Subscriptions:
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
User permission:
The app requests camera access through the system permission dialog before any face or body detection occurs. No face detection or processing happens without the user's explicit permission.
Data storage and retention:
On-device face and body landmark data is not stored and is discarded at the end of each session. Photos sent to Perfect Corp. for AI features are retained by Perfect Corp. only temporarily and deleted after processing, as described above and in their privacy policy.
Security of Your Information:
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information due to potential risks such as unauthorized entry, hardware or software failure, hacking, and the inherent insecurity of the Internet.
Information Collected by Third Parties:
We share non-personally identifiable information with third parties, including advertising providers and service providers (collectively referred to as “Partners”). This information may be used for personalized advertising or assessing advertising performance.
We use third-party analytics tools, such as Firebase by Google and Crashlytics, to capture crash reports and anonymous usage analytics. These tools may record the frequency and scope of your use of the Service, session duration, interface interactions, and general log information such as the time and date you start and stop using the app. This information does not include face data or personally identifiable biometric information.
Children's Privacy:
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy:
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting, and the "Last Updated" date will reflect the latest changes. Continued use of the app signifies acceptance of these changes.
Third-Party AI Image Processing:
The AI Makeup, Hair Style, and Hair Color features are powered by our technology partner PerfectCorp. When you use these features, your selected photo is sent to PerfectCorp's servers for processing and the result is returned to the app. No name, email, device identifier, or other personally identifying information is sent with the image. Your photo is not used for advertising, sold, or shared with data brokers. All other editing features run entirely on your device, no image is sent anywhere.
