Need Help Recreating Your Body?
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being fully aware of what you are feeling in the present moment without judging or modifying anything. You are just experiencing what you are feeling and all that arises with that. Mindfulness allows you to choose a response for any situation and it increases your compassion.
There are two approaches for an effective practice:
First you have to pay attention for a specific object such as your breath since it’s with you all the time,
Second you have to pay attention for whatever arise from this moment so you have to be open for all your sensations, feeling, thoughts while being relaxed.
In addition, there is evidence behind the success of this practice for pain management. It will help you to differ between concrete low-back pain sensation and your feelings about the pain sensation. Mindfulness patients are better able to self-regulate while in pain compared to unmindful ones.
In fact, there is a low-risk associated with mindfulness compared to opioids or other treatments so why not trying it?!
