Welcome to BodySense ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclosure, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
2. Information We Collect
We believe in minimalism and data minimization. We prioritize storing your health data locally on your device.
Non-Personal Data: We may collect non-personal information about your device, including your device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and general location (city/country level) for analytics purposes.
App Usage Data: We collect anonymous data on how you interact with the App, such as button clicks, screens visited, and session duration, to help us improve the user experience.
Health Data (Local Only): Data you input such as Height, Weight, Age, and Gender is processed locally on your device to calculate your BMI. We do not upload this personal health data to any external server.
Crash Logs: In the event of an error, we may collect crash reports (via services like Firebase Crashlytics) to help us fix bugs.
3. Permissions
To function properly, BodySense may request the following permissions:
Internet Access: To load non-personalized or personalized ads (via AdMob) and strictly necessary usage analytics.
Network State: To check connectivity for loading advertisements and content.
4. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services that collect information used to identify you. The services we use may include:
Google AdMob: To display advertisements (Banner, Interstitial, and Rewarded Ads). AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to serve relevant ads.
Google Firebase: For analytics and crash reporting.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
Provide and maintain the App's functionality (e.g., calculating BMI accurately).
Monitor the usage of the App to detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
Improve user experience based on feedback and usage patterns.
Serve advertisements that allow us to keep the App free to use.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We strongly believe that your personal health data belongs to you.
Data Retention: Any personal or health data (such as Height, Weight, Age, Gender) entered into BodySense is stored strictly locally on your device. We do not transmit, backup, or store this data on any of our external servers. Therefore, your data is retained only for as long as the App remains installed on your device.
How to Delete Your Data: Because we do not hold your data on any servers, you do not need to submit a formal data deletion request to us. You can completely and permanently delete all your data at any time by simply doing either of the following:
Clearing the App's data and cache in your device's OS Settings (Settings > Apps > BodySense > Storage > Clear Data).
Uninstalling the BodySense App from your device.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
