Bobby is an applied microeconomist with specialties in labor, education, and health. He received his Ph.D. in Economics at Clemson University. He is now an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of South Florida. He is also a research affiliate at the HCEO Global Working Group and Knee Regulatory Research Center. Prior to joining USF, Bobby was a faculty at St Bonaventure University and a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign).
Bobby's work includes occupational licensing, peer effects, and hospital networks. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including British Journal of Industrial Relations, China Economic Review, Economic Inquiry, Labour Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Regulatory Economics, and Review of Economics and Statistics.
