Bobby is an applied microeconomist with specialties in labor, education, and health. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics at Clemson University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of South Florida. He is also a research affiliate at the HCEO Global Working Group and Knee Regulatory Research Center. Before joining USF, Bobby was a faculty at St Bonaventure University and a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign).

His research focuses on occupational licensing, peer effects, and hospital networks. His work has been published in scholarly journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Journal of Health Economics.
