Anchors

"Anchors" is the eighth studio album from Bobby Mitchell. Anchors features many short songs, Bobby said this was because instead of using the Notes app that he usually uses to write his songs on, he used a notebook which was less than preferable size, so the songs came out very, very short. This is why he decided to add a lot of instrumental parts to the album and songs. Unlike most albums coming out nowadays, instead of love ballads and real-world problems, "Anchors" has minimal love songs (besides the title track) and more songs about life during the 1800's. This album has tracks talking about the American Civil War and being a confederate veteran and also a soldier who was Deceased In Action. It also has a track that is a nod to the Drive-By Truckers 2003 track, "Decoration Day".
